Vampire Girl follows the story of a girl who stands in place of a blood debt that her mother made with the princes of hell, and in her mother's place, she is taken into hell, a beautiful wonderland ruled by seven princes. She has seven months in which to choose the next king for the realm and until that time she must spend one month each with a prince lord of one of the seven deadly sins. But she just can't get her heart past the Prince of War, a vampire who cares nothing for the kingship but will do all in his power to ensure Arianna Spero lives long enough to become the Queen she is tasked with becoming.

I enjoyed the new take on underworld and vampires, but it didn't really draw me in as well as it could have. I think that is either because I'm a little over vampire teen stories or because the author didn't write a character that I related to and wanted to see succeed. It was a little too predictable and I could see where the love interest was heading miles before it went there.

If you enjoy a lovely romance, vampires and dangerous underworld lords with a slave theme thrown in for kicks, then you might enjoy Vampire Girl.

I gave it 3.5 stars out of 5 for the book and I'm not interested in reading the rest of the series.
