WHERE TO BUY:

Prudence isn't your ordinary lady of high society in London's steam era. She is in fact the biological daughter of a werewolf and a souless, and the adopted daughter of an ancient vampire. But even with all that heritage to throw around how she likes, she has become rather bored. So when her Dama gifts her a brand new dirigible painted up like a giant ladybird, she jumps at the chance to fly to India in search of her father's missing tea shipments.

But when she gets there, she finds is a confusing set of circumstances that cause mayhem and delay and for the first time in her life, Pru is enjoying herself and following the clues that lead to a few rather startling discoveries, one of them being a new-found breed of weres and a most unfortunate international disaster in the making.

I have always enjoyed Gail Carriger's steampunk novel. They are scattered with a humour I adore and characters I love. Pru is the daughter of Lady Alexia and Lord Maccon who in their own series of books titled The Parasol Protectorate have their own grand adventures. But now that Pru has all grown up, she is about her own adventures, at the insistence of her vampire father.

Definitely worth a read if you adore Steampunk and Paranormal adventures.

I gave this book 5 stars out of 5 and am looking forward to reading the next in the series.

5 stars out of 5 for Lady of Devices, 4.5 for the series.
