Sweet Evil

Sweet Evil Trilogy

By Wendy Higgins

Paranormal

Romance

Teen / YA

I really struggled to get through this book and can probably point out that it had everything to do with having read too many angel stories and the character development of main characters that I just wasn't interested in.

Anna Whitt is your average teen with an unusual ability to see the emotions of others in their auras. Then she bumps into tall dark and incredibly handsome Kaidan Rowe at a gig at the local watering hole and discovers that there are others out there just like her, or so she thought.

It turns out that he is a fallen angel, bred for one thing only, and that is to perpetuate the work of his sire. With this realisation come the understanding that she is the daughter of both a light angel and a fallen angel, and the war for her soul begins.

Blah, blah, blah, I really didn't enjoy the book, was too waffly in the history of her people and I didn't find Anna a very interesting or likeable character. I quite the book about half way through, which isn't something I don't do often.

I give the book 2 stars out of 5 as it just didn't catch or carry my interest.
